Mitchell Hughes a member of our Gifted & Talented Programs for both Ballet & Tap performed in the Australian Ballet Companies Christmas season of the Nutcracker in the 1st cast as Fritz. Mitchell represented himself, his family and the studio fantastically when both working with the company and the various media people. Please see the attached article from the Sydney Morning Herald. Mitchell has also been promoted to Level 2 in the Interstate Associate Program at the Australian Ballet School, Kahlia DeMatos was also reaccepted to Level 2, Tegan Klopper promoted to Level 3 and Finola Xie accepted to Level 1 of this program. Finola Xie also got through to the Semi Finals of the SODA ballet scholarship this is a fantastic achievement as she was 12 months younger than many fellow competitors.
Thomas Pickup & Mitchell Hughes both got a fair way through the Billy Elliot Auditions. Thomas got a call back only a few months ago for a final casting. Good Work Boys!
We also had a record number of Gold Awards in Glenn Wood Tap Exams, this is students receiving a result of 98% or above, these students are: Riley Jones, Aqueela Woods, Victoria Rorris, Isabella Di Lucia, Emma Stevens, Vanessa Chan, Valerie Chan, Laura Purcell and Mitchell Hughes.
